Lucky Hubby. Proud Dad. Michigan Native. Retired Navy.
I enjoy creating with and for others. There's also a connection to my family in doing this - my mother & her father were artists. I grew up to the smell of screen printing shops & the sights of mom lettering billboards, signs & semi-trailers.
I retired in 2022, after 21 years in the US Navy as an aircraft mechanic and moved to Southwest Virginia (SWVA). Before the Navy, I studied Graphic/Commercial Arts in Michigan and am back to pursuing those interests.
Currently, I'm full-time at Virginia Tech and enthusiastic about this new chapter in life. My education after retirement took me through New River Community College for an Associates Degree, then on to Virginia Tech where I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Technology.
I'm so grateful for the support of family, friends and the community!
Veterans, I strongly encourage you to see if you are eligible for Vocational Readiness & Employment at the Department of Veterans Affairs. With several tracks to get back in the game, they can help you make a successful transition back to the workforce. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
